Seeing this, a carpenter, a fireman, a plasterer, a roofer, and another fellow are trying to persuade the god to release the fish, saying the creatures have apologized enough. This is a satire, for it is people of these trades who benefited from the quakes. The god will not forgive them, of course, and sentences the fish to be cooked in a nabeyaki hotpot.
