This, too, was an imitation of the Manjiya ad. These examples suggest that such flyers were widely produced at the time. The women were advertised no differently than rolls of kimono fabric or other commodities, but even today, in the amusement quarters of big cities, handbills of not dissimilar content are distributed to passers-by.
