Outline RefWorks is a Web-based bibliography and database manager that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases. You can use these references in writing papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds.

How to use
  • Registration (using for the first time)
    When you create your own personal RefWorks account, you must be at a computer connected to the University network.
    1. Click on "Sign up for a New Account".
    2. Make sure your screen says "Waseda University".
    3. Fill out all the information.
      * Use your Waseda mail address.
    4. Click the "Create Account" button.
    5. You will receive an email confirmation which includes login information.

Notes
  • Eligible Users:
    1. Current Waseda University students, faculty, Part-time faculty, Researchers and staff.
    2. Students who graduate or transfer from Waseda University.
    3. Faculty and staff who retired or transferred from Waseda University.
    Students of Waseda University Senior High School, students of Waseda University Honjo High School, and students of Art and Architecture School of Waseda University are not eligible.

  • You can log in to RefWorks from your home or an off-campus site after you once create your own account. “Group code” is no longer required. (Dec. 9th, 2013)
  • The service does not guarantee backup of data. We recommend you to take backup in regular basis.
  • The attachment feature is not available for Waseda users.
  • About Write-N-Cite 4, a case of an error occurs after installation has been reported. An investigation is now in progress. Please refer to the following pdf file if there are any problems. WNC4_error_manual201312English [PDF]
  • When you forget your password, you can reset it via "ログイン情報をお忘れですか?" link. But the URL on the email sent from it might be inaccessible depending on your email viewers like Waseda mail. In case it happens, please fix the URL with removing unnecessary line feed or space code by a text editor.
  • When you import data to your RefWorks, the unfamiliar screen might be displayed since RefWorks is transitioning to a new version.
