Library services from universities under cooperative agreements with Waseda University: Keio University, Doshisha University, Hitotsubashi University and Kansai University

Keio University Library

Waseda University Library has had a cooperative agreement with Keio University since 1986. Under this agreement, users are permitted to request books and copy services for a low fee. Libraries are available for use by full-time faculty & staff, assistant professors, research associates, graduate students, undergraduates, and professor emeritus, upon submission of ID cards (student/faculty/staff/professor emeritus ID).

Upon submission of faculty/staff/professor emeritus ID, applicants can receive a library use ticket issued for the Mita Media Center (usable throughout the fiscal year).

Books can be used within the library. Document copy services are available for a low fee (except the Information & Media Center for Pharmaceutical Sciences). For details in requesting services, see Interlibrary Loans from non-Waseda Libraries.

  • Students, faculty (incl. professor emeritus) and staff can use the Mita Media Center, Hiyoshi Media Center, Information and Media Center for Science and Technology, Shinanomachi Media Center, Shonan Fujisawa Media Center, and the Information & Media Center for Pharmaceutical Sciences upon submission of ID (student/faculty/professor emeritus).
  • Full-time faculty and staff can use Hiyoshi Depository with their ID cards. Others need to consult librarians of Waseda University beforehand and will be able to use items in Hiyoshi Depository at Hiyoshi Media Center.
  • A letter of introduction is required from Waseda University Library to use the Library of Nursing and Medical Care.
  • Prior contact and a letter of introduction are required from Waseda University Library to use the Keio Collaboration Complex Library.

Doshisha University Library

Waseda University Library has had a cooperative agreement with Doshisha University since 2001. Users are permitted to request books from the Doshisha University Library (Imadegawa Campus) and the Learned Memorial Library (Kyotanabe Campus). With submission of ID, users can directly visit the library. Individual borrowing privileges are given to full-time faculty & staff, assistant professors and research associates only.

  • The S. Takata Memorial Research Library accepts applications only. Delivery/receipt and use of materials is done at the Central Library.

Hitotsubashi University Library

Waseda University has had a collaborative agreement with Hitotsubashi University Library since June 2004, with the following services available.

Browsing and copy services at Hitotsubashi University Library

When using the Hitotsubashi University Library in accordance with the cooperative agreement, users can visit, browse and make copies of materials upon submission of an ID card (student/faculty/staff ID). Please note, however, that a separate fee is required for requests for copy services at library desks.
Hitotsubashi University has made their library and resource rooms available to the public since April 2004. However, there are limitations on the terms of use for public users. When using the library under the conditions specified in the cooperative agreement, please submit your student/faculty/staff ID.

Request to deliver materials from Hitotsubashi University Library is available.

Kansai University Library

Waseda University has made a collaborative agreement with Kansai University Library in July 2009, with the following services.

At Kansai University Library (on the Senriyama Campus), in accordance with the cooperative agreements users can receive the services above upon submission of an ID card (graduate students (included non-degree student, research student, internship student), faculties/staff/professor emeritus ID).
