Examples of our special assistance

For users in wheel chair (Disabled foot users)

Parking lot for the library is available.
To access the library entrance (2nd floor), please use elevators inside the International Conference Center. Automatic door is operated during library service hours.
There is a wheel-in restroom on each floor in the Central Library.
There is a wheel-in desk on each floor from the 1st to the 3rd floor.
There are two wheel-in computer desks to access online information in the learning commons on the 2nd floor.
In case of picking up a book located out of reach (e.g. on a high book shelf at B2F, Research Collections), please ask library staff for help.

For users with small children

To enter the library with children is not allowed, however, users can return books at the information desk near the entrance.

For users visually challenged

There is a reading room for disabled on the 2nd floor. Please consult library staff in advance. Please note that library does not provide service for reading or finding a reader.

For users who is unfamiliar with computer

For those who is unfamiliar with computer, please consult at the reference desk on the 2nd floor. Library staff will help to locate materials.

For users who cannot return books due to specific reason

User can return books by mail. The return date is the day when the book arrives at the library.
In case that user cannot come to the library to return overdue books due to health condition, penalty point is exempted with submission of a medical certificate.

Photocopy service

If making a photocopy by users themselves is difficult, please visit Microfilms/Photographic Service on the 4th floor for assistance by operator.
